Community Events and Fires

This past weekend was exceptionally busy for the volunteer firefighters of Company 1. Friday evening, we concluded our annual Santa Present Delivery fundraiser and on Saturday, after escorting Santa through the Cragmere section of town, Companies 1 and 3 represented Mahwah at the Orangeburg Holiday Parade. On top of these community events, our volunteers have responded to 7 emergency calls since Friday evening ranging from gas leaks and fire alarms to providing mutual aid coverage in Tallman NY. The busy stretch continued into early Monday morning when Engine 115 responded mutual aid into Ramsey for a working structure fire, followed by calls for gas leaks and CO Alarms in our township. Job well done by our dedicated members who balanced both emergency response and community service throughout the weekend.
