Brush Fire

Friday afternoon, Fire Rescue Company 1 along with Fire Companies 2 & 3 responded to the Cragmere section of town for a reported brush fire threatening a structure.

Upon arrival, Rescue Engine 117 with a full crew found an active brush fire in the side yard that had begun to extend to the residence. Engine 117’s crew stretched a handline and began extinguishing the fire.

While 117’s crew worked on fire suppression, firefighters from Engines 115 and 320 conducted extensive overhaul operations to ensure no hot spots remained. Additional manpower from RS-1 and Engine 217 remained in staging to assist if needed.
