Last week, members of Rescue Company 1 hosted Cub Scout Pack 258 for a demonstration of our airboat, Marine 1.

The scouts received an overview of the airboat’s capabilities and the various emergency scenarios where it is deployed, including water rescues, flood response, and smoke ventilation operations. The scouts witnessed Marine 1 in operation on Winters Pond, observing firsthand how this unique piece of equipment performs on the water.

These educational opportunities allow us to connect with our community’s youth while showcasing the specialized equipment Company 1 utilizes to serve Mahwah Township and surrounding communities.
