Faulkner Court Structure Fire

At roughly 1:30 am Mahwah Fire was dispatched for a working structure fire on Faulkner Court. Chief 130 arrived on scene and found heavy fire through the roof and throughout the cockloft area of several condos. Engine 115 (OIC Lt. Drejman) was second due engine right behind engine 217 and tower 2 and established a water supply to E217. After establishing water supply 115’s crew stretched a secondary hand-line off E217 and entered the building. An evacuation order was given roughly 10 minutes after that as the fire had moved quickly and caused the roof to collapse in. It is believed anywhere from 8-10 condos were destroyed in this fire, displacing over 25 people. A few minor, non-life threatening injuries were reported. Company 1 units were back in quarters at roughly 5:20am. Thank you to all our mutual aid departments who assisted at the scene, and covered our firehouses while we were at work.
