At around 7PM tonight Rescue 1 responded to the Ramapo Reservation for an Injured Hiker. The hiker who was located near the waterfall had fallen and hurt his leg. After arriving at the patient’s location Rescue 1 transported him down the trail and to a waiting ambulance for transport to an area hospital.
Our second annual tricky trey is in 2 weeks (4/24). There are still some tickets left if you haven’t gotten yours yet. There will be many opportunity’s to win prizes of all types, including a 50/50 raffle last year’s winner won over $400. Refreshments will also be served. This month Company 1 responded to a total of 33 calls for service. There were 18 fire/CO alarms, 5 smells of smoke, 2 smells of gas, 1 rescue of an injured hiker, 1 elevator rescue, 1 grill fire, 1 fuel leak, 1 stand-by, 2 brush fires, 1 utility pole fire.

Yesterday Company 1 held its annual blood drive and open house. Thanks to the community 57 pints were donated.
Tonight members from Company 1 went to Midland Park to welcome their new Ladder Truck and spend time with friends and colleagues.

Last week the Ringwood Fire Dept. Dive Team hosted Company 1’s Dive Team for training at the Monksville Reservoir. Both teams spent a few hours training together in both diving and support techniques.

Fire companies 1, 3, 4, and 5 responded to a smoke condition on Pine Hill Road. After searching the home 115’s crew found that the cause of the smoke was a faulty boiler. Not long after all units returned to quarters.
