Our drill this week divers and tenders practiced their skills in the Ramapo River. Diving is a dangerous and skilled task that Company 1 members must be proficient as, as we are part of the Bergen County and also the North Jersey scuba task forces and can be called a moment’s notice to recover a victim or evidence located in our area’s waterways.  Think you would like to join us? Last night at our weekly drill, Company 1 Firefighters practiced their search techniques at one of our local playgrounds. This helped to practice searching through obstacles, confined spaces, and also helping other firefighters all of which could be present during an actual search for potential victims in a fire.
