Shortly before 6am this morning, Marine 1 was requested as mutual aid to Tallman NY to assist with ventilation operations at a warehouse following a fire.
Upon arrival, Marine 1’s crew used the airboat’s large propellers to conduct positive pressure ventilation, clearing the heavy smoke condition from the building. This allowed interior crews to safely conduct overhaul operations inside the building.
Marine 1 operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes before returning to the Township.
Job well done by Tallman and Suffern Fire Departments on their quick knockdown of this incident.
