At approximately 12:30pm this afternoon, Marine 1 was requested as mutual aid to Orangeburg, NY to assist with ventilation operations at a commercial warehouse. Upon arrival, crews found a heavy smoke condition throughout the structure caused by an exterior fire in the adjacent area.

Marine 1’s crew used the airboat’s large propellers to conduct positive pressure ventilation, clearing the smoke from the warehouse. Our firefighters operated on scene for approximately 40 minutes before returning to the Township.

Job well done goes out to the Orangeburg NY FD for their quick response to this incident.
