We seem to post this an awful lot…

Today, MFD Co’s 1 & 2 were dispatched to Route 17 NB at Mountainside for the reported tractor trailer rollover. This particular spot has seen a dramatic increase in these sorts of accidents, likely due to the roadway construction occurring at that spot.

Mahwah PD units arrived on scene and reported the driver still trapped inside the truck cab, and upgraded the call to an entrapment.

Thankfully, while MFD units were still responding, the driver was able to climb out of the truck through an open window.

Unfortunately for all involved, the truck was hauling garbage…

Units operated on the highway for approximately 2 hours.
