From simple elevator rescues, vehicle accidents, structure collapse, confined space, water rescues. and many others. This is not an accident. They have been training longer than most. Christmas Tree Fire Safety

As Christmas comes closer Mahwah Fire is reminding everyone to keep your tree watered. Each year over 200 homes experience a fire that started with their Christmas tree. As this video from NIST and the NFPA shows a fire in a dry tree can spread to the entire room in as little as 1 minute. Mahwah Fire is reminding everyone to keep heat sources such as fireplaces, radiators, candles, heat vents, and lights at least 3 feet away from your tree.
