Tonight members from Company 1 worked on their precision with the Hurst Tools by having an egg carry and playing “cribbing jenga”.
At around 11:15 this morning Rescue 1 along with Fire Companies 2, 4, and EMS North responded to Seminary Road for an overturned car with entrapment. After arriving on scene Rescue 1 found the car on its roof with the driver trapped inside. Not long after arriving the driver was extricated and transported to an area hospital.

Keep a pan lid handy when cooking with oil or grease and slide it over the pan to cut off the oxygen. If a pan lid isn’t available, soak a towel and ring out the excess water, placing the towel over the pan Only if it can be done safely, once covered, slide the pan off the heat source if possible. At around 1:45 this afternoon Rescue 1 and Company 2 responded to an overturned tractor-trailer on Corporate Drive. While the driver was making a delivery the brakes failed and the trucked rolled backward down the street and crashed. Once on scene Rescue 1 stabilized the truck and Company 2 addressed the fuel spill.
