Starting at around 6:30 this morning Rescue 1 along with Fire Companies 2, 4, and EMS responded to 287 South for a car crash with an entrapped driver. After arriving on scene members Rescue found a car has crashed into the back of a tractor trailer. Rescue 1 worked for close to an hour to remove the driver from the car who was then transported to an area hospital.

Later after the snow storm had started Fire Companies 1 and 3 responded to Masonicus Road for a car fire. After arriving on scene members Mahwah Fire found the car was fully involved in fire, the driver had already exited the vehicle.  Fire Companies 1 and 3 then worked to extinguish the fire and ensure that it was out.
