Missing Child At Campgaw Ski Area

Last night at roughly 11:30pm members of Rescue 1 were requested to the Campgaw Ski Area to assist the police with a search for a missing boy. The boy had gone missing around 8:30pm. Members of Rescue 1 and Mahwah Fire Company 4 spend 6 hours on the scene searching along with numerous local, county, and state agencies, as well as an impressive amount of civilian volunteers who came to help search after receiving Amber Alerts at about 2:30am

The boy was found alive, cold, and barefoot but overall uninjured in Oakland. He was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center as a precaution. Mahwah Fire members were released and back in quarters at roughly 5:30am.
