Car Fire

Last evening Fire Companies 1 and 3 were dispatched to a working vehicle fire on Franklin Turnpike.

Upon arrival, first due units found the vehicle fully involved in fire. Rescue Engine 117’s crew immediately stretched a handline and began fire suppression operations. Engine 115 arrived shortly after and established a water supply for 117. Company 3’s crews staged with an additional engine and Air 3 to provide SCBA cylinder replacement and backup resources.

After extinguishing the fire, crews conducted overhaul to ensure complete extinguishment. All units operated on scene for approximately 45 minutes before returning to quarters.
