Allendale Fire

Shortly before 10pm last evening, Fire Company 1 was dispatched as mutual aid to Allendale for a house fire. Initially requested to stand-by at Allendale’s firehouse, Engine 115 was redirected to the scene while enroute.

Upon our arrival, Firefighters from Allendale and the surrounding mutual aid were searching for the fire which was deeply seated in the walls and attic space.

Engine 115’s crew was immediately ordered into the building to assist in getting access to the seat of the fire. Working as a team, interior crews from several towns opened up walls and ceilings to expose and then knock down the fire. After the initial knock down extensive overhaul was completed and any remaining hot spots were extinguished.

Co.1 operated on scene for around 2 hours before being released. Job well done to the Allendale FD & the mutual aid scene.
